The Dark Knight Rises is a superhero film released in 2012 by Warner Bros. It is directed by Christopher Nolan, who co-wrote the screenplay with his brother Jonathan Nolan and the story with David S. Goyer. Featuring the DC Comics character Batman, the film is the third and final installment in Nolan's Batman film trilogy, and is a sequel to Batman Begins (2005) and The Dark Knight (2008). Christian Bale reprises the lead role of Bruce Wayne/Batman, with a returning cast of Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Gary Oldman as James Gordon, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, and Cillian Murphy as Dr. Jonathan Crane. The film introduces the character of Selina Kyle, played by Anne Hathaway,[4] a cat burglar whose appearance in Gotham City sets in motion a chain of events that will lead Batman to come out of retirement, and Bane, played by Tom Hardy,[4] the story's antagonist.

Christopher Nolan was initially hesitant about returning to the series for a third time, but agreed to come back after developing a story with his brother and Goyer that he felt would conclude the series on a satisfactory note.[5] Nolan drew inspiration from Bane's comic book debut in the 1993 Knightfall storyline, the 1986 series The Dark Knight Returns, and the 1999 storyline No Man's Land.[6][7] Filming took place in various locations, including Jodhpur, London, Nottingham, Glasgow, Los Angeles, New York City, Newark, and Pittsburgh. Nolan utilized IMAX cameras for much of the filming to optimize the quality of the picture. As with The Dark Knight, viral marketing campaigns began early during production to help promote the upcoming film. When filming concluded, Warner Bros. refocused its campaign; developing promotional websites, releasing the first six minutes of the film and theatrical trailers, and sending random pieces of information regarding the film's plot to various companies.

The Dark Knight Rises premiered in New York City on July 16, 2012.[8] The film was released in Australia and New Zealand on July 19, 2012,[9] and in North America and the United Kingdom on July 20, 2012 to mostly positive reviews.

Arbitrage is not simply the act of buying a product in one market and selling it in another for a higher price at some later time. The transactions must occur simultaneously to avoid exposure to market risk, or the risk that prices may change on one market before both transactions are complete. In practical terms, this is generally possible only with securities and financial products that can be traded electronically, and even then, when each leg of the trade is executed the prices in the market may have moved. Missing one of the legs of the trade (and subsequently having to trade it soon after at a lower price) is called 'execution risk' or more specifically 'leg risk'.

In the simplest example, any good sold in one market should sell for the same price in another. Traders may, for example, find that the price of wheat is lower in agricultural regions than in cities, purchase the good, and transport it to another region to sell at a higher price. This type of price arbitrage is the most common, but this simple example ignores the cost of transport, storage, risk, and other factors. "True" arbitrage requires that there be no market risk involved. Where securities are traded on more than one exchange, arbitrage occurs by simultaneously buying in one and selling on the other.

3 Idiots (stylized as 3 idiots) is a 2009 Indian comedy film directed by Rajkumar Hirani, with a screenplay by Abhijat Joshi, and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. It was loosely adapted from the novel Five Point Someone by Chetan Bhagat. 3 Idiots stars Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Omi Vaidya, Parikshit Sahni and Boman Irani.

Upon release, the film broke all opening box office records in India. It was the highest-grossing film in its opening weekend in India and has the highest opening day collections for a Bollywood film. It also has the record for highest net collections in the first week for a Bollywood film. Within 10 days of its release, the film crossed the INR100 crore (US$19.95 million) mark in India and became the first film of 2009 to do so. The film also created a new box office record for a release in the last quarter of a year (October to December), breaking the previous record set by Ghajini. It is also the highest-grossing film to be released in the second half of the year (July to December), breaking the previous record also held by Ghajini.

3 Idiots has become the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time in India,[3] breaking the previous record set by Ghajini which also starred Aamir Khan. It also became one of the few Indian films to become a major success in East Asian markets such as China,[4] eventually bringing its overseas total to US $23.9 million—the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time in overseas markets.[5] It was expected to be the first Indian film to be officially released on YouTube, within 12 weeks of releasing in theaters on 25 March 2010, but finally got officially released on YouTube in May 2012.[6] The film also went on to win many awards, winning six Filmfare Awards including best film and best director, ten Star Screen Awards and sixteen IIFA awards.

The film also uses real inventions by little known people in India's backyards. The brains behind the innovations were Remya Jose, a student from Kerala, who created the exercise-bicycle/washing-machine, Mohammad Idris, a barber from Meerut district in Uttar Pradesh, who invented a bicycle-powered horse clipper, and Jahangir Painter, a painter from Maharashtra, who made the scooter-powered flour mill.[7] This film was remade in Tamil as Nanban, by S. Shankar, which was released in January 2012.[8][9] It has also been announced that there will be a Chinese remake of the film produced by Stephen Chow and that there are plans for a Hollywood remake produced in the United States.

Synopsis
We've created the ability for contributors to directly add/update/edit/delete Synopsis entry for titles. Different from Plot Outline, the new Synopsis feature is the place to add a summary of the plot of the title, including spoilers, so users who haven't seen a movie or missed an episode of a TV series can read everything about the title.

We're still asking you to follow some of the Plot Outline guidelines: Any analysis or opinion of the film should be left out of the Synopsis page. e.g., "This film is one of Hitchcock's finest." It is up to the viewer to decide if he/she likes it. This includes performances by actors and actresses. Please include actor or actress names in the plot outline, by listing their name in parentheses after the first occurrence of their character's name. Example: "Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) moves aboard the ship..."

Note that we are still adamant and passionate about the advantages of ensuring our data remains as structured as possible and properly categorized (as are our contributors) so if you add data here that is irrelevant, it is highly likely that other users will remove or revert it.

First, in order to contribute information to our IMDb Synopsis pages, you must be a registered IMDb user and complete additional authentication of your account.

While we encourage you to contribute and take part in creating the Synopsis, you should read the following policies and follow them:

1. Do not add content that obviously fits other sections of IMDb: We do not want to replicate information that can easily fit in one of our existing categories. Hard data like cast/crew information, release dates or box office numbers are still going to be edited and managed via the regular submission process; if you want to learn how to contribute to non-Synopsis categories, you may do so here.

2. Discuss: When there are disagreements in editing, avoid edit wars on the Synopsis page itself and instead use the relevant discussion page to work out differences, while still observing discussion page rules.

3. Before editing or reverting other people's edits - stop, think and assume the other side point of view: Understand that the other contributor thinks that he was right in editing the Synopsis. Therefore, if you find a mistake correct it, but if you simply do not agree with the other contributor, consider using the discussion page. Remember - avoid using 'Revert' unless you're reverting obvious vandalism.

4. Respect other contributors and interact in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere: As IMDb's contributors come from many different backgrounds, and have widely different views, treating others with respect is key to collaborating effectively. Be civil and avoid making personal attacks or sweeping generalizations.

5. Do not vandalize: Vandalism is any addition, deletion, or change of content made in a deliberate attempt to compromise the integrity of IMDb.

6. Always keep in mind that by posting in Synopsis you agree to follow our ON-LINE SERVICES TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE.

While you should expect that other contributors will edit or revert actions that you made that violate policies 1, 2 or 3, IMDb will enforce a zero tolerance policy on users who violate policies 4, 5 or 6. Violators will lose all rights associated with an authenticated account, including the right to edit Synopsis pages. Users who lose their authentication rights due to violations of policies 4, 5 or 6 will not be able to regain them.
